Inferno 2020
In this Anthropocene geological age, massive destruction is taking place in our natural environment, on which we rely for survival. The climate crisis is the result of unprecedented human interference in the ecosystem, such as urbanisation, overpopulation, pollution, and resource over-exploitation in the name of development.
Our callous actions have resulted in the current bleak situation, which is causing global warming. There is more to it than just global warming. Extreme temperatures, drought, flooding, storms, rising sea levels, and infectious diseases are also consequences. The rapid transformation outpaces any species' ability to adapt.
The Climate Crisis is not simply an ecological disaster, but also a threat to humanity's fundamental existence. We are always exploiting in order to create a utopian world. This desire to create an “ideal” world is wreaking havoc on our planet.
The 'Inferno' project's series of works reflects and communicates the current ecological problem. It's a response to how humans interact with their surroundings.
