Shreya Chajjed is based in Chennai. Her interdisciplinary oeuvre has mostly focused on art as a way to explore the "self" as she most often engages in the process of introspection and catharsis. Most of her works talk about Childhood trauma, power play, climate crisis and objectification. Understanding how these personal/social concerns extend beyond the self onto collective experiences also extends her practice.

Many of her works and processes have been motivated by her sensitivity to her inner realisation and outward environment, as well as her constant dilemmas, confrontations, and inconsistencies. Her most recent works use the medium of storytelling through text and sound to explore the conversation that occurs between the self and the environment. Her long-standing bond with the environment and her sensitive response to the current climate concerns that she explores in her most recent works.
